40014Photo #40014Putney Bridge and the approach roads... On the northbound approach, I've bit hit (and run) by a driver turning left on to Lower Richmond Rd, across the cycle lane (frequent near misses). The southbound direction is usually a battle with the dozens of buses, who frequently pull away from stops as cyclists are still passing them. If the Bridge were reduced to one lane in each direction (plus the existing S/B bus line), there would be plenty of room for dedicated cycle facilities, possibly with both N/B and S/B located on the west side of the bridge, thus facilitating access for cyclists to/from Bishops Park, which already has a network of cycle paths.Dutch-style cycleway:

39926Photo #39926Hammersmith roundabout is a real hazard for cyclists: a schoolgirl was killed here. It needs re-design so there's a contraflow lane for cyclists to save them going round the roundabout. The danger means lots of cyclists 'scoot' their bikes: if they had a lane to themselves, they'd stay safe & wouldn't get in pedestrians' wayDutch-style cycleway:

39911Photo #39911The current layout of the Shepherd's Bush Green gyratory is a nightmare scenario, even with the cycle lanes within the Green and around Westfield taken into account. Ideally the northern side of the Green (Uxbridge Road) would be closed to motor traffic altogether, creating a non-stop safety zone for pedestrians and cyclists alike.Dutch-style cycleway:

39865Photo #39865Traffic feeds into this roundabout from four directions, then splinters off into two directions without clearly designated lanes to guide vehicles. Cyclists are vulnerable to cars, buses and lorries entering from all sides, and we're often forced into a lane heading in the wrong direction. Cyclists traveling northeast from Hammersmith must either brave the hazards of this roundabout or take a lengthy detour to avoid it.Dutch-style cycleway:

39853Photo #39853Shepherds Bush Green - too much mixing with cars spread over different lanes, including bus lanes. Fairly dangerous feel with cars coming from behind switching lanes. Unclear traffic signals at the northwestern end, with green signal for users going around the square, yet vehicles joining the square from the left also have a green signal.Dutch-style cycleway:

39843Photo #39843Hammersmith is a barrier to cycling in west London. Ways round it are awkward. Hammersmith Bridge should be closed to motor vehicles except buses and clear NSEW routes linked to here. The flyover already takes away major through traffic.Dutch-style cycleway:

29822Photo #29822There's nowhere to park a bicycle if you want to pop in to the local Barclay's branch. I've cycled around looking for something appropriate and the best I've found was a sign post at the bus stop. Not very convenient for the passangers and not too safe to leave the bike either. One or two stands right in front of the bank would be ideal. ThanksCycle parking:

26540Photo #26540It baffles me that Westfield has such comprehensive car parking but cyclists have to park by the nearby but very insecure tube station parking. This may be private property, but this is now a big enough centre to deserve more pressure - and hopefully it's win-win, as I know I'd go there more if I could drop by on my bike after work!Cycle parking:

26294Photo #26294Cavell House, Wood Lane urgently needs safe and secure cycle storage as half of the flats also do not have any parking and we are not allowed to apply for council permits so we cycle even more. 25786Photo #25786how do I find out WHERE (and HOW MUCH) parking is already available? I need to know, before I go someplace for the first time, what's there - BEFORE I can tell you if something more/different is needed. Otherwise, this "tell us where..." exercise is totally pointless. Thanks.Cycle parking:
